Went to Pureora with a mate in his Cruiser 40 V8 for a Sunday afternoon drive. Ended up home early, He lost his clutch and had to start it in gear to drive off :( , then I lost my Starter :( (not a good combination) Still got to have a couple of skids anyway - better than staying home :) .

Raced the Zuk round a motocross track today in the pouring rain. One of my best 4wd experiences, the ole GTi engine was bouncing off the rev limiter in both 3rd and 4th gears, sideways out of the corners Had to go easy on the jumps as leaves just werent made for that  Was a club event, but most were put off by the weather. I dont think conditions could of been more perfect
Then picked up a wide track samurai chassis for a future project
Now Im going to sit on the couch and have a rum 8)

My lockright arrived Friday, so spent the weekend pulling both diffs - LSD out of the rear & into the front, open diff from the front for the lockright, then into the rear. It always surprises me just how much grease there is in the front knickles! All done, but not in time to go test it.

...ohh no wait, i did manage to swap the bent leaves in the rear right spring pack on the missile :D ...but now ive decided that i need to make some new perches that have a larger footing for the leave so i stop damaging the leaves

I managed to fix a work light to my rear rope holder(a few weekends ago) , just got to wire it up now. Have also started a cargo box over the left rear wheel arch like the one on the right. Going to put in a false floor with draws. Had an old filing cabinet lined up at work for the runners, but some bastard stole it  . Anyway, cargo box will be finished by end of week.

Nothing remotely 4WDing :( but heaps of fun none the less

Went for a few hot laps around Teretonga in a mates track Mitsi Evo, scared the shit outa me, Went home, had a mate come round with a 80hp tractor and loader, did some gardening bloke style, (town house & section  ) tractor and chainsaw, sucessfully pulled out stumps and unintentionally lifted the concrete driveway path.... :? , Demolished mailbox :? , then set in on the beers deciding what a great job we'd done

Following that was my house warming, therefore Sunday involved very little. :D

:D :D Got my new ( 8) second hand) tractor, I mean bulldozer and pulled one of the rams off to rebuild... only to discover supposidly excelent service history dosn't extend to greasing pivots  spent the better part of the weekend freeing up rusted solid rose joints and pulling pins to be rebuilt, oh and the ocasional woody (for motovation 8) )

Also cut the gearbox X member (on the lemon) I'd built, out and moved it forward 15mm  thats what happens when you get distracted and only measure once
Hmmm machined up the new disks, and machined the hubs down to fit, for the rear disk conversion  Got it partially assembled all I need is the profile cut mounting plate and a bit more machining and the rear axle is go, got some pics when I get around to it I'll post em up

Cheers Reece
