PATROL!!!!

Post by Escudo boy »

bought myself a patrol today, model b4 the gq unsure what its called, ex army got an internal roll cage, all running gear is mint, the body is a bit beaten up as the guy i bought it off not that smart and rolled it (not while 4x4ing, but while pulling "sweet skids") not completely sure what im gonna do yet, i know it will be a dedicated offroader, so im thinking roof cut and i am romancing the idea of a 350 chev, will put photos up next week, ideas and input welcome.... NOT buying a hilux cab tho nathan

Yeah bro waikato 4x4 can GTFO. I asked the bloke there for a quote on EFS stuff before I got mine and he never even contacted me back; Also his steel wheels were FAR more expensive than elsewhere. There is no way I'll try shopping there again- I wont help them make money if they wont help themselfs  and there I was thinking it'd be nice to support someone local.

4wdbits has always looked after me very VERY well and have gone above and beyond what they are obliged to do for me.

I suggest you phone them bro- Or at least check out the prices on their website. ALSO- if you buy a full set of springs and shocks and ask them REALLY nicely- you might be able to get them to throw in a free steering dampener 8)

Those bush kits would be wikked too bro. Would be like a whole new car after replacing all the fukked factory stuff.

http://4wdbits.co.nz/ProductsList.aspx? ... lection=18
All the suspension stuff you could use  and the price is not bad for elite stuff.

argh my bad then.

Nah not fully equipped. There is another place down te rapa down behind the gym.

Rather than springs bro you could just fit extended shackles and wedges to bring angles back. Probably way cheaper?

oops. From Flyingbrick.

That place on te rapa is 4x4 parts and repairs or something. I found it wasn't much better than waikato 4x4 in cambridge when i was looking for parts for my patrol.

both of those places are local for me and i will never buy stuff there, the woman who answers the phone is arogant as at waikato 4x4 in cambs, and if they do call you back and i meen "IF" the prices are way off. i was quoted $50 for some ipf light covers, when i went to pick them up they were $150!! for plastic covers!! i dont think so.

Could try springtown or suspension city maybe?? Just talk to em to see what their thoughts are. Could be worth just waiting and saving for new ones but reset springs should last you a wee while I'd have thought. Just buy the one off badnuz.....
