Why do i see some guys change the auto front hubs to manual? Are they stronger?

i found the hubs would disengage when you go backwards then forwards ( like when doing tight monuvers in the bush like round hairpin corners ).At least with my man ones, once their locked thats it.Have heard they do go fut after hard use but this didnt happen to mine

yeah auto hubs often click out and then you go to power forward and you hear a loud praaRGH and then a CLUNK as they click into gear, its definatley on my list of things to put on my scud

Ohhhhhhhhh so thats what I heard on the week end in Woodhill. thought it was a bird..............bugger that might explain why i tried 7 times to climb this bloody sandy uphill on a tight bendy thingy. Just as well my Rad cap shat it self on the 7th attemp or I might have destroyed the hubby thingy. Thanks guys, will go buy some this week.

YAY , went to wreckers and they wanted between $250 and $300 for the pair if they could get. Just found a pair for $150..............NICE!
