Zuky Forest repair............

Post by Gofer »

There i was in a bit of a steep valley hole thingy and the bloody radiator started to boil. I could have put coffee in the header tank the way it was dancing on the bracket lol. For some reason i fitted 2 Coke bottles that morning incase i could help some one else out but ended up using them myself hahahah. After a few of these "drive, boil and stop for 15 mins" stints i decided to try rewired the A/C fan so that it would help the cooling as I already had the heater on full ball and fried my you know whats.......My son joked and said "hay dad, it would be funny to wire the horn to the fan",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,thats what I did, found the relay for the fan, pulled the wires out of the horn and pluged them into the fan relay. There i was holding the horn each time the temp rose trying to drive in and out of holes ahahhaahah, turns out the rad rubber cracked and let the water out, quick trip Sghell in helinsville where i got a new rad cap and away we were. Awsome day out with a bit of fun.

LOL! I went one step futher now, just incase it over heats again i fitted an air tank and 4X4 compressor in place of one of the rears seats in a nice wodden box. it has a low pressure sensor in line so kicks in when getting low and the pump has an outo off at the set pressure. So i can blow the baby cold while in the bush......well its actualy for the twin chrome truck horns under the bonnet. LOL. Works like a charm and one always enjoys the result of a HOOT instead of a toot.....................damn its loud.
