I really wanted to go to this year .
But the Zuk being where its at and the logistics and cost of of actually getting it to Refton , well let just say it a damm long way to tow a trailer cause I ant driving the zuk all the way.
DieselBoy wrote:Will be there next year, aye UBZ

Definitely be their next year
think you need a bigger trailer DB, to fit the the 50 as well as Weapon.
Have you thought about a more central location for next year sj408?
if you keep us informed well in advance on ORE in regards to planing, location etc ,im sure we will end up with a sizable convoy to attend in 2011.

Except its only on every two years!
I was dead set on going this year in October as per previous years, then about two days after I book my honeymoon over Easter they announced it was going to be at Easter
Nearly cancelled the wedding, but figured I still wouldn't be able to go as I'd be a DEAD man!

Hi SJ408. Looks like a great event - have seen photos from previous years.
Do vehicles have to have rego/wof to participate (and insurance?).
Cheers

Hi Kiwicruza
Reg & WOF not required on trail/club trucks,BUT,must be safe and be fitted with required hooks, fire extinguisers, first aid kits etc.
There will be some road work to get to some of the trails so A frame or trailer will be required as the
Suzuki 4WD Club Canterbury ( herein called the
"Club" ) will not be accountable for any tickets for any vehicle that is operated on public roads with or without reg &wof.
All vehicles will be going thru a scutinering procedure after registration at the event so please check here

P.S
Due to OSH and Insurance requirements, I have been advised to let you know that unreged vehicles are not covered for personal injury, fire or damage caused to native bush & forest.Cheers

i could tow it with my company car.....no wait! Its an 09 Mazda 6 and would end up being towed by the Zuky lol.

Hi All -
- ZUKFEST is only a few days away now - looking forward to seeing you .
I know that some of you will be leaving home during the next few days so have a safe
journey to REEFTON.
We will be at the R.S.A. from mid-late afternoon on Thursday to check vehicles and put up
trip lists.
Those of you who intend arriving Friday morning will need to be there by 8.30 - 8.45am
Or else you will miss out on trip for that day.
Any questions - don't hesitate to ask
See ya there

Made it there thankfully, thanks to selling one truck the week before Easter.
All you guys from the North Island, you just HAVE to make the effort to get to a Reefton Zukfest! I only had to travel from Nelson but I tell you this, after this weekend I'd travel the length of NZ to get to such a brilliant weekend.
Great job by the Suzuki 4WD Club (Canty.) with plenty of great tracks and fantastic company. Definitely a 'DO NOT MISS' event for the future.

The wheater gods played their part all weekend adding a little bit of moisture on sunday mornings run just to liven things up.
Thankyou to all participants without All of you it would not have been the amazing event that it was.
To have trucks from Whangarei to Queenstown , Shiney to Comp & every thing in between made for some good veiwing in the gymkana event.
Bring on ZUKFEST 2012
