wheel cylinder question
Hey all. One drum was off my truck and i pumped the breaks, causing i think one cylinder to pop the piston out. I have been told that this inst a major and u can just simply put it back together and use it, the cylinder is new
... any advice would be appreciated. Cheers.

Re: wheel cylinder question
should be fine. Put it back together, give the brakes a bleed up and you'll be back in the mud in no time

Re: wheel cylinder question
The advice is correct, crack the bleed nipple at the back of the wh/cyl; give the piston and cup a clean, dip cup and piston in brake fluid ( needs to be assembled wet ) and put back together. Assemble brake shoes, fit drums, adjust and bleed brakes starting at the cyl; furthest from the master cyl;.
