Anyone got a stock TJ gas tank skid floating about? Need to get a hold of one for a little play mod.
Cheers

Sorry
Yes - you can have a fuel tank skid plate for 12000 and get a free jeep

i have 2 jeeps at the moment and almost ended up with three
Now have an xj - to fit the family in
Pretty standard but will lift it etc as time and money permit
Is it worth all the extra gro to fit 33" tires?
Seems a lot more work required than to lift 2" to fit 31"

I reckon it is worth it, never did it to mine, just stuck with 2-3 inches for the 31's and wasnt brave enough to go cutting things. I reckon an XJ with 33's gets some serious cool points.

I have advice that 3.5" lift is enough for 33"?
Lots of others say you need much more..??
Also need to do re gear
Have you done control arms for 2-3" lift?
Kits seem quite pricey

Oh this has been argued back and forth and side to side.
My last XJ was up 3 inches, and with 31 and -24 offset rims, the bottom rear inner corner of the guard had to be trimmed as when turning the tyre rubbed.
When the front was disconnected and flexed, the tyres rammed right up into the front guard on one side and jammed into the rear guard on the opposite side.
Regardless of what the best mates brother has done to theirs.. the proof is in the picture:

No room for a 33 there, even with another .5 inch.

There is the trimming the guard option of course, yeti, downunderXJ and bbc240c can advise on this more than me as i never had the nuts to do it.
Had folks who claim 33s can be fittted with only a 2inch lift and no trimming 'cause their grandmas proctologist said so... I'll leave you to ponder that thought, but with my experience, without going down the trimming route, i cant see it.
Have a shuftie at those pics and decide for yourself.
