Just finishing off the bighorn that iv been building for a while has hilux running gear under it, iv managed to get hold of a 4.8 lsd diff, already have a locked diff in the rear, whats the proz n cons of fitting the lsd in the front, is it worth it?

If you have allready got it why not put it in
As you may well know Toyota LSDs are pretty useless But it is better than a open diff :D

l.s.ds are good in the front, they get mocked a bit, but being in the front they are only woking when offroad so are worth it i rekon.

I have an LSD in the front of my hilux, it is not as good as a locker but better than nothing :)

The steering is slightly heavier than normal, especially going downhill where the front has more weight on...

you don't get steering weight coming on/off and the lsd slips causing steering to be erratic ?

Agree with muddy, the steering gets a bit heavier, but not really hard to handle. Did not notice any unpredictable behaviour either.

You can beef up the LSD which I would recommend as the factory settings are a bit shit. I had mine done by Lineside, and I think they slipped an extra spring in the middle somewhere, and threw some extra shims in.
