lifting my pajero

i have lwb raised kings for my swb. doddzee may be able to answer my questions.
1. will they fit? the kings look ALOT bigger than the current springs.
i have the factory height adjustable susp if that makes a differance
2.Doddzee said it was about a 4(?)" lift, will i need to do anything to the panhard rod?
3.is there anything else i need to be aware of?

any help would be greatly appreciated as all going well i will be lifting it on fri. :twisted:

Ive even got the bolts for the balljoint flip.

just use a forklift sam thats the best way to get it high :lol:

HI, yes they will fit, however you may get driveline viabrations with anything over a 2 inch lift due to the short rear driveshaft. You might get away with a 3 inch lift ok. Did Doddsee have any viabrations?

Easiest way to see - chuck em in and see what happens. They will fit. Getting the springs in if they are longer than standadr is a bit harder as the arms bind up, undo the hand brake line from the arm (10mm bolt) get s a bit more out of it. I put a bottle jack between the arm and bump stop to get another inch to make it easy to get spring in.

Should be right with the parnhard rod. Take the rear sway bar off and throw it in the shed. helps alot.

Yes they will fit they are the same springs as i have in mine. It will give the rear about a 3" lift. Dont go any higher than 2.5" in the front though and make sure you still have at least 5mm gap under your upper bumpstops after you have cut them in half, otherwise is will handle and drive like a pig as there will be no downward travel.

You wont have driveline vibrations because of the type if universal (forgot what it is called) the pajeros have on the transfer end of the driveshaft. Remove your rear sway bar why you at it as you need the shocks undone to get it off.

I have not modified my panhard, i measured it and the diff is still sitting centre on mine. I also have the adjustable suspension and it still works as it did before.

Only the 3.5 SWBs seem to have the CV as the front uni

krawlr: im hoping to do the wheel bearing and lift today then go out tomorro, otherwise ill go out on the sun trip with any luck.

thanks for the help, guys, if i do get vibrations how do i correct it? thats why people put drive shaft spacers in their lifted patrols isnt it?
the rear sway bar is already disconected and the front is off entirly... did that when i put my 33"s on

ok. the spring are in. the rear sway bar is completely out... tomorro is the ball joint flip....

but unfortuatly... the lift has caused the vibrations. now i hoping that the cure is just the packers? also, will i be able to take it out this weekend without sorting the vibrations out or will it do more damage?
jtop: can i retrofit the 3.5 swb's cv thing onto mine without too much trouble?

No the 3.5 has a larger output at the transfer as well as a larger pinion flange.

I have heard somewhere that fitting a 20mm driveshaft spacer should fix your vibrations not completly sure though maybe take a look on outerlimits im sure someone else has had this problem.

J Top did your pajero vibrate after you lifted it? How have you fixed it?

No noticable vibes, but what can happen is the rear d/s becomes too short and is not supported enough by the g/box spline, so a spacer like Doddze says

well ive done the ball joint flip aswell now. i may have just been looking to hard for the vibrations before as after taking it for a drive tonight ive noticed its not that bad at all unless my sus is in the raised state. so ill take it out tomorro and see what happens i think. hopefullynothing too bad.
