Pajero - Stuck rear brake pistons

Just swappng the rear pads on the paj and cant get one of the pistons back far enough. Used the BFH (big f****n hammer) also tried the old g clamp to wind it back. Neither way worked. And yes i did undo the bleed valve.
ANY IDEAS???!??!!

has it got the handbrake as part of the caliper??

yup. disconnected the hand brake cable

pretty sure you have to wind the piston back in then, as its on a thread for the self adjusting hand brake

if the piston has notches in front face then the piston is screwed back into place, not pushed back

My Pajero ones just push back in (94 disc brake rear) as the handbrake is completely seperate from the calliper. so doesn't need to be disconnected.

Yes! There are notches in on the piston. Thanks Pedro! Will try that tonight
