be careful that you dont get this guy...

NZHerald 8-4.10 wrote:A Waikato hunter was airlifted out of the bush overnight after accidentally shooting himself in the foot.

The hunter and his friend were at a hut in bush south east of Turangi, when they set off their emergency beacon, Youthtown Trust Rescue Helicopter pilot Hendry de Waal said.

The pair were sitting on a river bed and as one of them got up to return to the hut he accidently pulled his gun's trigger and shot himself through the left foot.

He was flown to Waikato Hospital for treatment.

Seems to be more of a liability then a good companion...

How come his gun was loaded, one up the spout and the safety catch off, when just sitting have a break???

Keep in touch, I'll let you know when I go out next time.
I'm a bit tied up with the rally car for the next few weeks but I hope to be able to get out again soon.

Hey mate,
I get out fairly often, mostly to keep the flat freezer full. Am always keen to have someone to split gas with. Let me know if your keen.
