Looks like a bunch of good buggars here. I'm from Rangiora and enjoy the outdoors. My 1986 SAS'ed Navara Dble Cab is still work in progress, always improving. I'll carry on looking for new (to me) tracks...

Sounds like an actual extremeish navara/terrano type wagon. There are no bolt on/cheque book mods available off the shelf to do that to them eh? :P good work.
Good to have you on board dude. I am sure we will find some interesting stuff for you to drive on, just keep watching.

I'd liie to see how you've done that SAS as well. I see you have done the chasm, which way did you do it from? There is another good grade 5 track down from the chasm track exit point (staircase creek) on snowy river road, just further down. takes you into an old power house and gold mine. Drive the gorge if the creek allows it. Good camping there as well.

I'll get some photos posted when I get a chance (I'm ment to be working). We drove the Chasm, crossed the Upper Grey, then out thru stoney creek. There is a couple of us that would like to have a crack the other way, with plenty of extra rope. Drove to the powerhouse your talking about, well almost as broke a hilux CV and some confusion as to how far we had to go (I run a gps and laptop onboard and it had locked up). Walked to powerhouse while cv being removed. Put good dent in passenger door when driving out, on tree near track entrance. Whoops. My daughter laughed. So... from the powerhouse (just past camping spot), we should continue driving up the gorge to the... mine?

I said I would post photos, but if you have a look under "Our 4wds" at the top of the page, dated 10/04/2010, you will find pics of my truck entering, and exiting the chasm. I wonder if someone could link the pics in this section to peoples profiles. Could be handy.
