What Im wondering is how much different the 3f and the 3F-E engines are?
Would it be possible to convert a 3F into a 3F-E with the right parts or is it possible to bolt a 3F-E directly into an Fj70?
The next question would be is there any advantage to doing such a thing... ie improved power or fuel economy?
Just an idea Im toying with.
Ideas????
Cheers,
Kempy.

the engines are the same the E stands for fuel injected so at a guess the engines are the same externally unsure about the internals thu
and playing with the injection unit you should be able to get a heap more HP than the old carby system

Better economy, will keep running on more extreme angles, an it will be easier to turbo
I think it was on the pirate forum someone put a 3f-e head on a 2f block in a 40 an turboed it

Yeah I knew it was just an injected version. Just wasnt sure how compatible the parts were. But thats good to know.

yes the 3FE head will bolt onto the 2F block but i thought this was to get better compression
althu when inducting I thought the general rule was to reduce compression because the induction was going to supersede the compression rate anyways
just my thoughts the 2f is a stronger block and crank set up thu
