So that would be just for two rear springs and four shocks with the torsion bars wound up?

Sounds bloody expensive to me.

it would give you more clearance between the tyres and guards for articulation but it wouldnt give you any more ground clearance so you'll still get hooked up on the same stuff that you already get hooked up on

Wow, I emailed a 4wd mechanic and said I was catching my tail pipe when coming back over devils gate,he said a emu 2 inch suspension lift would sort that out.Hmmm now Im confused. So how do I get more ground clearance? Suspension lift + taller tyres?

Your suspension lift would lift the tail pipe and the rest of the chassis but your diffs would remain as lowest point. Only tyres will lift those up. There are probably a lot cheaper ways to suspension lift a surf too. Check Maxitrac at Repco.

i fitted 2" kit to my 90 surf, been in there almost 5 years and drives like a dream, really good handling etc and considering its on 35s etc it should have alot more sway then it does so yeh,id do it again

kit for the price should include 2x rear springs 2x new hd torsion bars 4x shocks and a new steering damper

i installed y kit with a feew mates, all was easy and would have been done n a day but took 2 due to a broken torsion adjustment bolt

trick for these is soak with crc the day before, then make sure no weight is on the front end when you undo them, take it slowly, undo a bit then re tighten, undo some more then retighten etc untill its out

this is very correct, best money i spent

kit wise it was just 2" lifted rear springs, heavy duty torsions,i also chose the heavyer rated springs due to gear i carry all the time, and no worries, glad i could help, yeh back yard jobby is easy enuf, just reli need jack, spring compressors and basic hand tools, like i say just crc the crap outa those bolts,if you can get hold of a second set of bolts beforehand you completly remove the risk,it killed my job,i eas just luucky to get new set by the next day

500 is a bit steap, also ad cert to that and you should of had a steering shaft spacer madse and fitted or later model steering shaft fitted as just slipping the spline wont pass cert, nor is it very safe, especially if your upping wheel size

an engineer can make one up for you, pretty basic but vital to return steering to full strength
