Hitch receiver versus rear rated tow points??

Post by DirtBoy72 »

I have removable tow bar on my 80 series landcruiser. Will a club typically allow a removable hitch receiver with rated shackle as the rear recover point, or do you definitely need 2 x rated tow hooks? Are the 10,000 lbs tow hooks from 4wdbits generally accepted as rated tow hooks? Has any one had issues with these in the past? If a rear hitch receiver is OK - where would I pick one up from? Any comments on where you can purchase alternative rated tow hooks to the versions the 4wdbits sell?
