Y61 wellside ?

Hello everyone ! Just wondering has anyone done a roof chop/wellside conversion on a y61 Patrol yet ?
Have been looking into doing this over here in England.
I have been looking through ore and have found much useful info but cannot find any on y61 roof chops.
I see your patrols/safaris really hold their value over there, was looking on TM last night and there was one for I think 13K
At the moment over here as a general rule the y60's go for around £1500 - £2000 ($3200 - $4200 NZ)and the y61's start at around £2250 ($4800 NZ)upwards. There seems to be a huge difference in price.
Anyway have been looking at the y61's and they only come with a 3.0d (trying to stay away from) or the 2.8TD that was used in the last of the y60's but these seem to have to be on the turbo all the time to get any performance from them. Anyone now about boosting performance on the 2.8's ? Are they a good engine ?
The only way round I can see is get an old 4.2 from an early y60 and nail it in the y61, anyone done this over there ?
Bit of a long winded post and many questions I know but just thought this would be the place to ask
Thanks in advance,
cheers, Chris in England.
