Heard on the grapevine that The Extreme park was sold today at auction, Hopefully the new owners will be keeping it as an adventure park as we are rapidly running out of places to go .

Agree, if it has sold I hope they continue to allow 4x4 access.

I hope they do keep 4x4 access too. But I don't know If we really are running out of places. I think its more a case of not looking harder enough.

Really By all means let us know these untapped places . Was at extreme park on sunday and the future is still up in the air (yes its sold), did hear the likely outcome, but until its offically announced I wont speculate.

On a side note, driving the road from SH16 to extreme park (the road goes between forestry blocks - have been harvested), still farkin idiots playing in the drains on the side of the road, then spreading shit all over the road, good look for us responsible 4wders

sorry but its called a phone, or driving round and asking the farmers if they mind letting people on their property. Its not hard, just takes a bit of time.

My mum's cousin has a place just out from Kumeu, went their once and people were going to organise a trials there as he was more than keen for us to go on his place, that never happened as people couldn't be bothered.

so its the kaukaupa extreme park that has been sold? and the jeep extreme park in woodhill is buisness as usual? sorry, getting confused with the extreme parks and SH16

Extreme Four Wheel Drive Adventure Park is on Peak Road and not SH16.

Jeep Woodhill 4WD Adventure Park is off Rimmers Road, and not on SH16.

Both have "Adventure Park" in their names.

Can totally see why you would get confused

thanks for that, I use sh16 to get to both those roads hence my confusion. hopefully a name change perhaps under new ownership, maybe another adventure in the name just to highlight their difference

Yep new owner is a horsey lady and from our talks sounds like the park will be closed to 4wds ,new owner takes over ia couple of weeks

Sad.

Russell is pulling out all his gear as we speak ,has some cheap suzuki"s for sale ,radios etc almost everything to do with the 4wd part of the park is going on the market for sale ,and Pat is also moving on he is currently looking for another property (hopefully one big enough for a 4wd park)

he will be selling the gear once sorted from a factory out howick way ,give him a call or drop him an email ,his details are on the extreme web site
