tow hook through nudgebar mounts accecptable?

Trying to figure out a good position to mount tow hooks on the front of my terrano.

Would it be ok to mount them horizontally onto the alloy mounting arms of the nudge bar close to where they're bolted to the chasis?

I was thinking of strengthening the setup by using angle iron alongside the alloy.

I've probably explained that pretty badly... :? should have just taken a picture!

Should be mounted to the chassis or at least something equally strong connected to the chassis. Know nothing about terranos but tow hooks and alloy mounting on a nudgebar sounds dodgy.

If you have a setup like this, the alloy plate of the nudge bar is bolted to the factory tow hook mount with the tow hook bolts plus one extra bolt further back.

haha yeah I think I suck at explaining..

how much do you want for your factory hook aroma? It'll probably be the easiest way of doing it.

Where did you guys put your tow hooks on the rear?

Factory tow hooks are only good for towing a truck along the Hi-way. I would not and do not suggest you use a factory hook to snatch or tow someone when off roading at all.
They are not safety rated and will straighten out or possibly snap off and become a lethal missile.
Just something for you to consider.

Rated hooks are quite cheap to purchase and come with rated bolts to mount them with too.

Rear hooks are generally mounted on the side of the tow bar bracket or if you have not got one, fab a plate to the chassis rail with some decent support to mount them to.
