Sounds like a plan Rik ... any chance of getting Steve to come along and drop his driveshaft again (a classic moment in hillclimbs)

A starter here.

You should just get rid of the Alternator altogeather and strap a small generator to your roof to charge your batterys up  Has to be ten times more effective than that nissan alternator

Shit, you won't believe it guys but its working now, and I haven't done anything to it. Kevin, I'm thinking we may have jinxed each other, I jinxed your locker, and you no sooner mentioned the alternator and 1 hr later bamn, all over man. Hey and thanks Adam. Great day though, specially pushing the comfort zone in Rik's back yard, was a little surprised at what an LSD can actually do when pushed.

Al,
know a guy up north with a Bighorn that used to go through a lot of alternators, he drilled a hole, and mounted a windscreen washer motor to it, so each time he went through crap, he'd spray it for a few seconds.
Worked a treat he reckoned.

Don't think it was the brushes as the dash lite did not come on as per usual. Did notice though when I put Adam's battery in the alternator lite didn't lite up with all the others as per normal. thinking it could be a diode. Funny thing is it all seems ok now, maybe a bit too wet :?:

Yea, reckon your alternator went out in sympathy with my front locker Al ... either that or I put a curse on it when I commented "seems like the new alternator is doing the bizz".

Checked all my diff studs last night - lotsa loose nuts. So have a week to drill and tap the rooted stud, then will locktight and torque every single frickin stud nut. Back for more next weekend :D

Enjoyed the pix and vids Rik - can never quite capture just how steep the decents and ascents truly are
