Hey there.
I have a 73 FJ40 Landcruiser and want to install a roll cage in it.
Does anyone in Chch know of someone who can do help?
Cheers!

I almost could have helped if my tube bender had eventuated... But you need to get the tube bent properly to retain its strength... preferably use DOM tube, mandrel bent (Autobend in Chch have computerised mandrel bending equipment). and 4711 qualified welded.
If, on the other hand you ring autobend and die laughing at their prices, then decide... I'll do something a little cheaper.. you can use heavy wall steam pipe, a chinese crush bender and double-brace it. Still strong and satisfactory for a slow roll (hell, a high-speed rollever in a 40 will kill you no matter WHAT you do

) and a little heavier, but much cheaper.
The latter I can do. You thinking something like Wopass' one?

Cheers Steve.
You mentioned a Wopass roll cage? I'm not sure which type to go for at this stage. I was hoping there might be a pdf plan with dimentions on building one. I have looked on Trade me for a used one. But no joy.
Without a roll cage I'm not getting the most out of my fj40. Bugga going suss spots without one.
