Last weekend I had the old white cloud of death happen on me and thankfully I have a manual so I could just stall it. Pulled the turbo today and was dissapointed at what I found. Will pull the head tommorow and hopefully I dont find parts embedded in my pistons. Its a ct26 off a 1hdt

Should have bought a nissan

Na, we reckon that when it was rebuilt (was under the impression it had) they hadn't loctited the nut holding the compressor wheel on (cant see any evidence of loctite). Nut came off, jammed into the wheel, snapped the shaft, broke some shit and then sent it into the motor. I get the feeling this aint gonna be cheap

Small update.....

Motor has been stripped inspected, acid dipped, painted and reassembly has begun

Just waiting on pistons (repco got them for me but they managed to get oversize ones instead of std so I had to go on the search for moar) which come on monday before I can reassemble and slap her back in. Before it runs though there is a small amount of fab work to be done and also the 80 series rust to fix.
