Hi all,
Just curious to see if there are any of these units left in NZ and if anyone still uses one. I would be interested to find out what they get used for. Saw one being used as a tow line for a makeshift ski slope in Scotland. Any other examples?

Cheers

There are a lot of them about. Most are for winches (forward facing) but a little engineering and you can pretty much do whatever you want.

There are quite a number or 6 spline PTO's around and some still being used.

The original 1948 10 spline is a different story because only 400 were made and there are only a handfull left world wide. They are worth many 1000's if you can find.

I know of X8600152 in NZ for 1948

Cheers Richard

Yup, this is what I'm after.
I'm in the market for another SIIA or III (funds allowing) and would definitely like to have one fitted. Basically I wanna be able to build lots of random machinery to run off it so the wife can start looking at me funny again
I've been a good boy for the last couple of years so I think it's high time I did something ridiculous.

Thanks all,
