It would require the use if 1537 paper clips , properly assembled .

heapza help thanks mate off to assemble my paperclip bellhousing as I speak.
Reason I ask is that most 1kz engines are either 4wd or automatic so no factory options that I can think of.
Do they share the same bellhousing pattern as any other toyota engines?

They came in Hiaces but not sure how the gearbox from a van (linkages?) would work in a top shift situation

The base auto is the same / similar as what's matched to the 1UZ's
If you got a 1KZTE with its auto and ECU.
I think it would be possible to remove the transfer case section and put the output housing from a RWD supra auto on it then you have 2WD RWD output.
The guys putting 1UZ's in 4x4's do the opposite when using the auto's fitted to the v8.

As for the manual....Don't know.
