get in contact with supralux on here. he has springs that will lift the rear of your surf and for the front you can just wind up the torsion bars to match.

I have a set of Maxitrack rear lift springs with the 2 overload leafs removed.

The front has adjusted torsion bars and stops and OME shocks front and rear.

First time out this coming weekend with the new suspension so keen to see how it goes.

look in the forums, check the tech forums and read the Hilux/Surf article.

Simple solution, fit 50mm lifted rear springs, 4 new long-travel shocks and tweak the torsion bars.

Want more? 50mm body lift

Still want more? SAS it... or buy one with a solid axle.

See, its simple :)

I've got the same set on my "other" surf and took out the first overload but wasn't game to remove the longer one. From my experiance, other than overload they provide protection against the diffs torque reaction, so having both removed gives good flex but may possibly lead to broken/bent leaves :( , unless you fit an torque controlling bar of some kind.

Let us know how they work out.

I had heard that but luckily at the moment I have no power, the old 2.4 turbo diesel isn't reknowned for it's power output!

Cheers

mattman you should consider your self lucky every one over in the states wants a 2lt diesel motor there selling for like 2 or 3k over there. and there very rear over there but every ones got them here. would you rather have the 2lt diesel or the 22re petrol?? lol

Check dates on threads before you dredge them out of the past :) I think you'll find that Matts truck now has a Lexus V8 in it, and no real noticeable problems with power...

You're right tho, diesel engines are a novelty over there and I've had several requests from the US for them...

I used to have an LN61 with a 2LT - solid motor but not the most powerful around!

Re the 22RE vs 2LT, I would prolly go with the 22RE. They are pretty good motors.

My current truck the LN130 in my avatar has the 1UZ in it, unfortunately it still has the IFS, hopefully not for much longer!
