Hey Guy's,

Ordered the timing cover seal, Tensioner Bearing, Timing Belt and Cam shaft seal today so that I can replace the timing belt and hopefully fix the significant oil leak coming from the front of my SJ413 this weekend.

Are there any good online manuals to show the correct way to do the replacement and can I do it without any special tools?

Alternatively, anyone in Queenstown, Cromwell, Alexandra want to help me out for a box of beers?

Cheers

cheers for that.

got the belt off last night - looks a pretty simply job to complete (touch wood :) )

But, I also want to replace the cam and crank shaft seals and the oil pump seal/gasket as there is a fair bit of oil coming from one of these three things - was the main reason for replacing the cam belt.

Can anyone explain how i get the cam and crank sprockets off without damaging anything and do I need any special tools i.e. to stop the cam/crank moving while I try to undo the bolts on the front of the sprockets?

Or ultimately should I just chuck it backtogether and get a mechanic to do it?

Bump ......

Anyone replaced the cam and crank seals and have any advice or instruction on how to get the sprockets out of the way?

Otherwise will take to a mechanic in the next 3 or 4 weeks and ge them to do the lot. Just a lot mor oil mess in the gargae until then
