Paint / powder coat

now i have my bar work to a suitable standard what should i paint it with or am i better powder coating it. i want to do it in a silver

Your probably better off painting it that way if you chip it or damage it its easy to touch up, if the powder coat chips it cant be touched up and the steel underneath will start rusting.

If you want it to last id use a good primer then a 2k silver over top, 2k is a good hard wearing paint but looks really good too.

I would spray it gives it a nice finish and no brush marks, have you got gear to spray with?

Thats perfect then, paint would be cheaper than powder coating to id say.

at $50 for front and rear you could get them re-done multiple times and have them always looking smart... from memory i paid $120 for just my front bar to be re-powdercoated!

Can ya guarrantee that cheap price in a years time when you need it tidied up?

Go paint, might cost more but easier to fix up later (can be done in any paint shop).

depends on how pretty you want it to look at the end of the day...?? i have some grouse bushrash on my ARB bar, i just touch it up it black arcrylic ;) but then im a rough bugger...

Paint it. You still have shit to do that setup and it is much easier to touch up paint than powder coat.

Yes thats correct but paint can be touched up and blended.
