Cleaned the crap and sludge out of the Zuks clutch (again  ) after the pohe island run a few weeks ago, even with a well sealed plate mud is still getting into the pressure plate and binding the clutch up. shoved a thin brass pipe though the little breather slot at the top of the bell housing and let the hose run for half an hour at full tit.

stripped the front drivers seat out of the Saf and rebuild the silly stoopid little rear spacer mount at the back that had torn the retaining nut right out, migged a double layer of steel and fitted a large washer under it. all i need now is a decent set of seats .. Saf ones are not the best.

pulled the steering wheel off and had a look at why the horn only worked when turning left :!:  discovered the brass dohicky that transfers power from the column to the wheel was badly worn, so cut another one out of some brass shim, put it all back together and volia horns all around

Saf todo list getting shorter now

just front bushes and Swivel hub seals to do

Had to work this morning, cos Im on call. Got called out to a truck at the ferry terminal with its low water light on after the driver had fixed the leaking hose an topped up the water level. As it turns out instead of putting 20l of water into the header tank he'd put the 20l into the oil filler an filled the sump with water :x :x  Will be a long day flushing that out on monday

Spent the afternoon stripping an cutting an old red fj40 into small pieces, me an a mate went halves in it cos there was a few bits on it that we wanted, started at 4pm an only got home at 11.30
Hopefully ill finally get a chance to finish my new sliders/side steps on my 70 tomorrow

Went for my first play with a mate around red rocks. Was bloody great fun and can now see how easy it is to get the 4wd bug! Was impressed how well my stock (apart from suspension lift) Terrano went, climbed a couple of hills I thought it wouldn't!

Put Aisin Hubs on to replace the electrical ones on the LJ78, made the spacers from the old sleeves so as to retain the four bolt holes.
Hubs now manual, but now the H4 light won't light up. although the 4wd hubs one does! http://sports.webshots.com/album/578243128JBsUDy

Pulled the greabox out of the bighorn only took a few hours and had a quick look at it but will leave the nitty gritty to my mechanic as I dont know to much about internals of the box itself.

Did a service of my brothers Safari and put some new speakers in and sold him my old Roof cage off my old Safari's

Fun had up Thompson too - on Sunday. The top end was a lot drier that last time we went up there, so we managed to get to the top this time. Awesome view!

Yeah same fella. Bring some with you when you bring this f'y up for me too chop up!!!!!!

Nah about 2" depending on the condition of the springs. It also pushes the front diff forward a couple of inches. Primo mod to get big tyres away from the back of the inner guards.
However the steering will need modified so will the top shock mounts and the front driveshaft will need to be longer. Probably longer brake hoses too.
It always happens that one little mod turns into half a doz more!!
