im servicing my mates g16 16v motor and come to adjusting the valve clearence can anyone tell me where im supposed to messure the adjustment from?? and what the adjustment should be?? i have never adjusted the valve clearnce on this config before.

reading from the haynes manual, the clearances are 0.003" to 0.004" cold and 0.005" to 0.006" hot. The measurement is taken between the face of the cam and the rocker. They give a blurb about a special tool, however I managed to do mine without it.

sweet as thanks for your help i have tryed heaps to find it on the net but no luck might have to buy a manual.

Are you in Auckland? You could borrow the Haynes one I have for the job if you need it?
