Soda Stream to Co2 regulator adapter

Post by Big-AL »

i have been looking through the old posts about what different bottles can be used for co2 on a small mig.

does anyone have any ideas which shops (north shore or auckland) would be worth trying for a soda stream bottle to co2 regulator adapter?

youd be better off using an old CO2 fire extinguisher.

this is purely what i think and shouldnt be taken seriously lol. but have you gone to BOC to see what gas costs? 15/month for the bottle rental (i just get the small dive bottle sized cylinder.). And for a fill of Argoshield its something like 50-60 bucks (not too sure the exact dollars cos it just goes on the account). And ya pay at the end of the month. Obviously not as cheap as a soda stream bottle but so so easy and it means you get an account at BOC which is super handy imo. And there is no mucking around with testing and blah blah blah. Best option imo

converted to co2 last year. unitore ph 3605391 in graylynn auck opprox $200 for 5kg filled and tested. multi-mig in Ellice Rd north shore for brass adaptor to fit argon reg to co2 bottle. Note my small cheap argon reg froze up after short time so replaced with larger reg from multi mig approx 70bux. was told to buy a heated reg but the 70dola one still working fine
