Spent most the day working out how to get the heater core out of my hilux as it hasn't been connected since I've had it. Got it out and there was nothing wrong with it. The heater tap and is broken and the tap cable snapped. So will check out pick a part at some stage for those.

you know how every cloud has a silver lining?? well found mine today, spent the day at Woodhill Jeep park with a couple of other trucks, trying to back down a particularly nasty track resulted in me sliding backwards into a tree smashing the Saf's right tail-light and thought what a b$$$$$ard finished off the day giving the PTO a huge workout pulling sorry assed Mazda's out of bogs they really weren't designed for

coming home i noticed a couple of things ... my 87.5 kph shimmy is gone, my knock-clonk-thud going over a bump is gone and the best bit .... my truck has always had a vibration running though the entire truck every time you steer right under light to medium throttle (felt like you where sitting on a large vibrator .. mrs loved it) .. ALL GONE !! truck drives, steers and handles like a dream.

I can only conclude the body had shifted on the body mounts at some point in it's life and the sudden stop from the tree knocked it back

tomorrows job after getting the mud off is to check and tighten the mounts and try and find another lens for the rear taillight

Ended up at work all day Saturday. :( But got out in the garage today and wired in the throttle TPS harness. And fitted a bonnet scoop.

Then it was Play-station time with the kids. The biggest being me!

"fixed" the tail light .. ugly but legal (ish) at least no white light showing now.

Yup body had moved on the mounts  had a chance to look under the Saf today and check the mounts, yep loose, loose and very loose!! tightened up the ones in the front ok but the mid mounts need a spanner on the top of the bolt to stop them spinning which i presume is under the carpet somewhere but run out of daylight to try look for them tonight.

finaly put an after market water temp in the truck, mounted it low on the A pillar easy to see, can see how crap the standard toyota one is, it stays in the same place while the new one goes from 55deg up to 80, not found how hot it will go before the factory one shows hot.
Happy its in for the next trip.
