Hi All

Thought I might share this....(not sure why, some geeks amongst us might like it)
I have been capturing temps for my DIY intercooler.
Last night I left the data logger running over nite to see what temps I might see in the engine bay.

Overnight temps in Auckland were about 12 to 14 C

Got home at midnight...

Engine bay temps peaked at 62C for about 10 mins then slowly dropped.

It didn't reach outside temps until 8 am this morning !!

Hit 50C at 1250
Hit 40C at 0140
Hit 30C at 0250
Hit 20C at 0500

Interesting :?:

Hahhaha

Interesting
How long did the engine run for?

Try it at -40 and see how quickly it drops!
You may have to convince the C-17 to fly you on the last Winfly flight during August to take you to the Ice first though...

any wind will affect those readings I'd have thought.

How long did the engine run for?

Was after a 30 min plus trip home from work...
So engine was completely heat soaked.

No wind was tucked up outside next to garage.
