Supercharging a VP V6 Commodore Motor

Post by suzukisport »

This is an earlier model motor and not the ecotec. I am looking at supercharging it to get more power. I know that superchargers came on later models but would anyone know if it would be ok to supercharge an earlier model?

yup, SC14, make it a suck thru, std computer can go to about 8 psi before needing remapping, sc14 will give you about 3psi till you change the pulley

relocate coil packs, bolts to LH side of engine, need to machine one more groove in the supercharger pulley,
i put a rising rate reg on fuel rail just in case, means you can adjust fuel pressure if so desired.

cheers

I highly doubt that will work without a lot of modification. Looks like a factory supercharger which were in the VT - VX commodores and were ecotec.
