Well i went against peoples opinions and got a landcruiser prado with the infamous 2lte motor,With a exhaust and snorkel i thought it wasn't that slow and maybe even underated..until it destroyed itself on me..only had it for a month and to and from work :x

Not looking for massive power.just a simple conversion as it's my daily/hunting truck and want it going again asap..Was thinking a 3l (2.8 ) motor.Anyone know of anyone thats done it,Seems simple enough as basicly the same motor,Guess the wiring will be the hardest part? Any help would be awesome
Cheers,Rob

Can you do the same with the 2L- just bolt on a turbo and run low boost? Or will it just blow up as above- ie is the 2L just not suited to any boost?

Im pretty sure the 2l and 2lt have the same internals so turbo would be ok but..............................
And to the OP i argee to the second post 3L with the 2L turbo and you will be loveing it.

you can throw the old turbo on easy enough. fueling, fit boost comp (or 2lt IP) or fit the 2lte electronics (requires crank sensor to be fitted to the 3L).
