Rim Offset

I am about to purchase new 15x8 rims and 33x12.5 tyres for my NJ. What rim offset is recommended? Would the recommended offset change if I decided to go for a narrower tyre? I have a 40mm body lift.

Get the Landcruiser offset, -22. Gives a little more clearance and just stays legal under the factory flares.

legal for the guard clearance/coverage, not legal for increase in trackwidth, max +25mm increase...LTNZ rules without certification.

My Pajero runs 15x8's they have a pretty deep offset, most other 15x8s will not clear the front calipers on pajeros

Yep, agree...I run 15x 8.5mm at -5 offset on mine (only running 31's) with no clearance issues...also have a set of 16x8 -22 with 33, only minor scrape on front lower of bumper cover and had to remove the flaps, apart from that, fine.

Thanks guys, hopefully some others will say what they think.

I was thinking somewhere between -5 and -19 (my standard pajero rims are about +7)

Fergy, what is the offset of your rims? do you get a WOF ok with them, or do you put your other tyres back on for that?

Same, my -5 offset 8.5" fly through wof, (but with 31 AT's)....the 16 x 8 -22 cruiser rims with 33's, forget-it.

I want to be able to get a WOF with the 33's as they will be my only set of tyres, so I'm probably best to just have a small negative offset.

The old man runs 32x12.5 15's on -22 rims with standard flares and I run 35x12.5 15's on -32 rims with homemade conveyor belt flares and we both pass wof's.
