Bullbar info for an 80

Post by Danjr »

I'm building a custom front bar for my 80 going for a tube style job. I can only bend up to 2inch so I'm having the centre piece (radiator loop bit) bent up for me. If I want a Cheezy Racing look, should I go for 3 inch or 4 inch? Also, the metal shop has said the bends will be about 250 mm radius. Is this tight enough for the top bends or will it look rubbish.

Cheers

Dan

Yeah your one does look the business. With the 80 having a wider front end, I'm going for that bigger centre piece. Cheezy stylz

That would over 2g NZD landed
Would be better off going to a motorsport shop and getting them to make one for you.
My setup cost me just over 3000 for front, rear, and side bars which I thought was very reasonable

Awesome, cheers. These are exactly the style I'm going for (tube wings with plate centre). The second one looks like it has a body lift with the slope on the wings - very cool.

Do you think that is a 3 inch centre bar or 4 inch?

Sorry bud, so its good or not good? If not, can anyone recommend someone who can bend 3 or 4 inch pipe in the Bay of plenty?
