Re: MICKEY THOMPSON MTZ
in all reality it is still only my tow wagon/shiney 4wd, so didnt want to loose too much driveability on-road
and besides, 35's on an 80 would then only make me want to take it places i would rather take the mighty zuk

bull, shittttt,
Re: MICKEY THOMPSON MTZ
Had a look at them yesterday (just the lil 265/75/16's though). I lkie the look of them but not the price. Been mixed reviews in Aus about them, but like anything some people love em and others hate em. Be interesting to see how much wear you get with a heavy wagon on them as I have heard the rubber is a little soft (which is probably why the have a reputaion for road handling and grip).

I'm running 265's on my Surf. Great roadholding on and off the tarmac. Too soon to comment on wear but they do look good on the MT alloys.....
Re: MICKEY THOMPSON MTZ
well after 1000km of main hiways/back counrty gravel roads in the middle of knowhere and some twisty as f#$k back roads(part of forgotten highway) they certainly get the tick for on-road manners and grip... next test at the end of the month when the bus is going to take on the muddy/slippery tank tracks in the army land at waiouru

Re: MICKEY THOMPSON MTZ
well i took the cruiser to the army land on sat and gave the tires a good working over. at 18 PSI on my 3 ton bus they worked very well, the cruiser have very definate steering, and never really felt like loosing traction, except for the parts where everyone lost traction that is!! they gave me confidence to take lines i wouldn't have thought easy and managed to drive it around some knarly sections of track with relatively good control!
im very impressed thus far!
