landcruiser pto winch drive
hey guys im building a landcruiser fj40 winch truck , using a large hydraulic winch off a truck on it , planning to drive the hydraulics off the pto ,does anyone know if you can use a 70 series pto drive on a 40 ? as im finding it hard to find a pto drive unit for a 40 on its own cheers ben

yep so long as the 40 has a later model split transfercase on it and not the early pre 1980 one

Sorry to be a dick but if it doesnt work would you sell it to me. I bought a 70 winch, shafts etc but havnt got the drive off the transfer.

If you find an imported 40 with a pto on it thatll fit your truck they have the same style transfer case as the early trucks, i mite know of someone on the coast with the pto box you need, ll find out if he still has it.
