Alternative to wound up torsion bars

Was just wondering if there is an alternative way to raise the front 50mm rather than winding up torsion bars on a 93 swb paj as i can imagine this puts them under alot of un due stress

Same thing, you only need to reindex when you have run out of adjustment. Just wind them up, no worries!

The torsion bars are no more load at all after being wound up. You are effectively just setting the static ride height, the springs are still carrying the same weight.

Put a steel bar, winch and dual batteries in and that will load the springs up...

late model german tanks were torsion bar suspension 50 tons plus
they handled the load fine

apparently you can get a it of extra lift by doing a ball joint flip in these pajeros.
have a search :)

Dosen't give more lift, just allows more downtravel once wound up.

Already done :D and from what these guys said im fine with it now lol just need some new shocks for even more flex a some disconects and should be away laughing

Yeah, also cut the bump stops about an inch
