Moving front diff forward

Got a hilux with 33's that rub on the inner guards. Redrilling the spring mounting plate forward 25mm to bring the diff forward seems a simple solution. Anyone done this and found any issues?

Had to do it to the 70 front diff to clear the 35s only thing I found was the draglink an tie rod got a bit close, but I guess you havent got cross over steering in your hilux? So wont be a problem. Only thing is will the draglink have enough adjustment when you shift the diff forward?

Yep seen them too. Could be an option.

sounds cheaper just to drill a new hole 25mm further back

You may have to get someone to either shorten the draglink (well push pull rod thingy) or invest in an adjustable one, or even get it modded so it becomes adjustable. Then just shorten up the torque rod and you're set. You'll probably get away with using the standard driveshaft 8)

What he said its way easier to just drill new holes, could always convert to cross over steering
