Wanted: 70's series Landcruiser/Jeep Wrangler - Whats best?

Hi everyone,
After a few opinions

Been working/saving all this year for a 4X4 , started looking seriously last couple months. Thinking either a 70's series Landcruiser or TJ Jeep Wrangler . Need one for summer

What do you think would be best?

Have about 10K to spend , could be persuaded to spend more for the right one

Originally wanted a Wrangler but lately been thinking a late 80's/early 90's SWB Cruiser would be choice

Thoughts/opinions? Anyone got one for sale in Canterbury? or thinking about selling theirs?

What do you want to use it for? If you want it for some harder offroading go the 70 series, If you want something to cruise around town an do the occasional offroad trip a jeep could be the go

I need it for driving through deep rough rivers on the west coast

Gonna need a few mods: Snorkel , lift , wheels , diff/tranny breathers etc

could look at a swb safari as well .... coils/discs .... and doesnt float easily

yeh get a safari! Als selling his! (so he reckons) Bound to get it cheap with all those dents/scratchs on it and it prity much drives those west coast tracks by itself now!!

Im looking at selling my 70 series, its got lift kit snorkle, winch etc etc etc. Ill be at sheffield also if you want to check it out.
