well Today I pulled the tank out and fixed the leak in it, put more underseal on it and put it back in.

Finished the exhaust up to the muffler, and ceramic coated it. now just the hoop to do.

Patched the hole i cut in the wrong place on my off road bonnet and cut a new one in right place for snorkel.

painted my costume for the party im going tonight.

One thing that is really getting to me is how everything comes off easyish but is always a big struggle to put back in. I think thats due to when I got the chassis twisted due to a stupid recovery in Woodhill one time

tomorrow I will get the oil for the gear box, hopefully get the exhaust done enough so I can bolt it up start it. Suzuki might actually be going in time for full throttle :D

got up .. then the day turned to sh#t

had arranged to get the sodding hyundai off the lawn and out of our hair, borrowed a large trailer from a fellow club and ORE member ( Thanks heaps anyway AL :D ) got it home only to discover that the Hyundai was 300mm too long in the wheelbase to fit on the trailer, bugger going to have to hire a car trailer by the looks of it.

so decided to carry on trying to track down the ongoing vibration/clunk when steering right under light throttle or lugging down in the gears, decided to pull and inspect all the body mounts, looks like they where a little worn so have packed them out with a 5mm spacer, if thats the prob then I'll get new ones.

dropped the gearbox mounts and checked them for rips , all good there,

sigh . gave up and got the Zook ready for the Club champs at the end of the month instead

only good thing was the Saf flew though a warrent earlier in the week

if someone else had to drive it home, then we can only assume he broke himself

Got the gearbox out of the bighorn in 1.5 hours, not bad for a desk jocky. Checked the clutch heaps of meat on it but can only handle standard driving as there is plenty of signs of slipping so bring on the H/D next week. Going to pull the master cylinder out of the landrover so I can fix (seals) then it will unfortunatly be time to sell as I need to clear funds to pay for my clutch.

Fark it would take me that long to find the right sized spanners.

if you have plenty of meat on the clutch but it's still slipping sounds like the pressure plate has gone Fubar. unfortuantly the clutch plate will have to be replaced now too

.. sure you dont want to go auto?? have a complete 3.1D auto LWB for sale cheap

Went over the truck checking things after Manukau, no breakages (Kev wasnt driving hard enough )
Spent over an hour washing the synthetic rope on both winchs which were full of clay and grit caused by Manukau

today i got new oil in the gear box and transfer case, tightened the extractors on and finally started up the Suzuki. Sounds quieter from out side, not so much from inside. Haven t finished the exhaust yet so should get even quieter. :D

Clutch feels good and no new vibrations. :D

Bad pint is that the front transfer case seal seem's to be leaking. only a tiny amount. Will sort that this week I hope.

Also bought some new D shackles and a new snatch strap today too along with a few other important bits and pieces

haha yeah its not the first time its come out so got it sorted now.
but $700 for a HD clutch is a bit steep my HD on my old Safari only cost me $380.

Yeah my mechanic said I should just replace with a HD as its common for them to slip on a factory clutch.

Nah all good mate I prefer the manuals even though they usually give me more trouble.

Have you been out to check out old tok road?
