2.8 turbo

just bought a 1995 hilux double cab 2.8diesel, bit gutless and have heard the 2.4 surf manifold and turbos bolt straight up, has anyone done this before?, what kinda boost could i run?, and do 1kz manifolds off 3.0 surfs work ? cheers
