Hows it going, im new here, from chch.
Me and my mate have two lada nivas a pretty rough 1986 that we thrash about and a tidyish nz new 1996. Picked them up pretty cheap, just out to have some fun.
Both are pretty standard, just larger tyres and snorkel. Im keen on modifying them once ive got the funds. Any ideas?
I do currently need a few front diff and mounts. Weve snapped both left and right mounts and cracked the diff. So if anyone can steer me in the right direction to find parts that would be great.
Could be keen on buying another niva if someone has one going

How about a 2L Twin cam fiat engine? Maybe not for a cheap 4wd though...

I think upgrades would more depend on what sort of 4wding you want to do and how much money and time you want to put into it.

Hay guys good to see some more Niva owners around. Check out my build thread on the Lada UK website. I got around the week front diff by fabricating up a steel one from a old rear axle ass.

Im not keen on anything real serious, looking at maby a 2 inch lift, winch and tyres. But it comes down to money and time.
Ive actually been to c those ladas but i dont have room at home for another two more.

2" lift is relatively easy and there are a couple of ways of doing it, you can find them all on Baxters site.
