hi all as per usual im running a xmas eve evening trip up the ashley river from the rangiora bridge,we will meet at 7pm on the grass before the bridge by the bmx track,things are usualy prety dry and easy going,tow points will be needed will be on channel 19 and ill be in a nissan this year
should be fun
on my 3rd POS 70 cruiser still havent learnt

hey guys .. im moving down there from welly in early december for a new job . will be living or staying in/or close to hanmer springs is that far from your trip ? also do you need snorkel etc cause i dont have one ( yet )
would be awesome to meet up with the new crew so to speak, the welly guys here have been great to learn a few tricks etc off and show me around

Hanmer is about 1h.20mins from the Ashley river. Snorkel is a good idea but not essential at that time of the year.
I will be keen on this trip if have'nt gone north by then.

water levels are very low as stated and i will be taking my 60 series landcruiser on 31's no lockers so i will be finding the good easy spots to cross etc.By no means is this a hard trip this is a fun i dont wana sit at home xmas eve trip where we all go for a drive and have a chat
