3sge

hi everyone, have been looking at a slightly different swap into a surf. a 2L 3sge vvt-i beams motor out of an altezza.. 200hp stock. yes i know if would be very peaky in its power delivery but the truck would be used mostly on the road and a long term plan would be a small turbo at low psi which should help alot with low down torque on the high stock cr. what makes this motor appealing is that apparently the manual 3s bellhousing shares the same pattern as the 3vz in a v6 surf, so should bolt up to a r151f box. can anyone comment on this? also it should theoretically fit in easily enough leaving plenty of room for cooling etc. have not been able to find any info online about one of these going into a 4wd, a few 2wd hiluxes seem to be around with this motor. has anyone here done this swap or can give any reasons why it might not work? would i be able to use the standard altezza clutch/flywheel with the r151?
i was thinking of going down the 1jz route but it sounds like they are a tight fit and i would have to get a custom bellhousing etc which is $$$. i would prefer a manual. or has anyone attempted machining down a r154 bellhousing to allow for the shorter input shaft in a r15x box? have read that the r154 will bolt up to a 1j?
a 1uz is another option but i would again have the problem of needing custom bellhousing etc and trying to cool it effectively.. and i have never been much of a v8 person.. the 3sge should hopefully be a bit better on fuel if driven economically?
any input would be greatly appreciated!
cheers
