My Pajero failed it's WOF yesterday due to a leaking RR shock.
I am watching a few Trademe auctions, but not sure as to which one is the correct one:

How do I know which one to get without taking the old one off?
My Pajero has the button which lifts the suspension a few inches at low speeds.
What shock for 1991 SWB Pajero?
Re: What shock for 1991 SWB Pajero?
out of those i would go with the last ones and dont worry bout the switch. at least they new. the other ones could be just as bad. prob best to undo the nut that holds bottom of shock and let it extend out and measure over all length and compress it and mesure. the most importaint to worry about is the compressed length dont get a longer compressed length than yours.
eg if your compessed length is 500mm you could go 400 or 450
but dont go 550 or 600
hope this makes sense

Munroe shocks are budget shocks and I wouldn't bother with them, have had plenty of experience with them thru work, you get what you pay for. I have a pair of Munroe's on rear of my Prado (the previous owner had them fitted) and I dont rate them at all. I am going to replace them with something decent when funds allow
I still have the original adjustable on my Pajero and they still work fine

Thanks for the feedback.
I will probably go with secondhand ones, I phoned Repco today and they quoted me $279 for a pair, which is probably not bad if you have the money
