went out the next morning on a mates dinghy 500m offshore at 5am in Matarangi and caught a 12 pound snapper, stoked, played 18 holes a golf, drove to Whiti, got smashed at the pub, then got complaints till 4.30am at the camp ground we was staying at, not welcome there anymore..

Went thomos yesterday, me and my brother took our patrols up, no damage to mine but got 1/2 a meter of air under my front tyres lunching out of a mud hole lol , but first trip out for the brothers 95 lwb patrol and he bent the front drivers side in about 20cm

, so spend to day fixing that for him, now time for a burbon or 10

Don't normally post in this, but seeing as I've been kicking round home all weekend why not eh?
Friday night, up to Auckland to the Kings Arms to see Bouncing Souls and Hot Water Music, home bout 3am
Saturday 8am picked up the Vitara from the panel beaters after a window replacement got real fawkin expensive.
Dropped it at the tyre shop and got its new Maxxis Muddies fitted
Headed home and did a body lift on Toyoda's Safari, body lifts rule
After that, swapped back to the Vitara and adjusted the steering stops a tiny bit to stop some tyre rubbage on the new monster rubber.
Then managed to wrestle the steering wheel off and fit the a cool little sport line one just for shits
Ummm, oh, yep, then attacked it with the buffer and spent the next two hours buffing the crap out of the 14yr old paint. Looks uber blinging now
Beers and BBQ time, and perv at the bro' in laws new 1972 Merc Coupe.
Sunday, attacked the Vitara some more, stripped the all the trim etc out of the boot area, sanded back all the scrapes and bruises and gouges and gave it a quick prime and spraycan respray as it was looking REAL special in there. Its not paint shop quality but way better than it was.
Got side tracked while I was busy with that and thought, hmmm, I wonder what would happen if I wire brushed the slight rusty orange stain on that seem over there...........
A couple of hours later, one little rusty orange stain coming out of a seam above the back door had turned into a full on rust repair and prevention exercise.
Between coats of paint, rust killer and Urethane I modified the roof rack on the Patrol and put some more eyelets in the awning of the OZ Ten to make it work better
It got to 5pm, had enough workin on trucks so chucked the board in the van and went for a surf

Yea I was the navi so it was my fault..... and it went over my side...
And yea it was completly flat paddock....

Just checking the welds underneath and the engine mounts. Aparently they are stronger than the windscreen and all one side of the truck!

i bought my first proper truck in NZ, a 1986 vintage BJ70, with a 2" body lift, 3" ome spring lift, 35s, lock rights front and rear, 3b with a turbo conversion, spares and whole load of off roading damage to repair and tidy up!
After 6.5hrs driving from christchurch to Queenstown, i have to say im hooked on the thing! just need rid of that locker in the rear for an lsd and she'll be sweet! cant belive how well it goes for something so big!
