Rocklobster formation?

I recently purchased a 410 tcase (cheers suzookyman) to put in my 413. What is required to form the rocklobster from these 2 units? I know this has probably been asked heaps on here but thought would be easier to ask again than trawl through old posts.

Cheers

google it and read everything you can. Then find an engineering company you trust. The wont like you with the hardening on the gears trust me...

You could fit the 410 tc straight in to see how it goes and see if you do indeed wish to go to even lower ratios than that, which the rocklobster will achieve.

Theres a couple pdfs about that tell you exactly how to do it. Its pretty easy but yeah you will need to go see an engineer for changing the gears.

Try this for info too.

does the 410 case have the shift light plug by the gear stick?
Not all 410 cases are compatible to make the Rocklobster.

Machining the gears is expensive! they used almost 3 cutting bits to do mine , budget approx. $300 for machining and welding

Then factor in the cost of new bearing and seals, plus mods to the mounting brackets for strength and replacing the mounting bushes with new ones for strength.

But overall a awesome mod to do . Will give the Zuk real good gearing for on and off road use and spin 31's no issue.

Would be first worth investigating the cost of importing a 4.16 or 4.8 gear-set from Lowrange Offroad etc , and fitting to your 413 case . As the the cost difference between imported gears and a 410 case/machining /welding/etc would be marginal.

Pm me if you want the details for the company that did my machining / welding.
