heres my new toy, 88 surf 2lt series one.
have just done new head and gasket set new water pump and fitted boost and water gauge as factory one was buggered.

today i gave it a 2 inch suspension lift and next on the wish list is snorkel, also put set of new kyb extended shocks in it :) getting set for the xmas eve trip up ashley :)

forgot to mention it has diff breathers and box breather all running up into the air intake box (ready for a snorkel lol)

ok so todays progress was installing and wiring up new spotlights an ive bent up the new snorkel too. tomorrow will be welding that up and fitting it :)

yeh just snorkel and whatever anyone has to suggest lol i plan on trying to keep it tidy so looking at side rails and bolt on guard protectors. also looking at parts for 3 inch body lift at the moment. thought about a coil spring conversion?

nice surf you have, i just got one on tuesday and started moding it.
get rid of the running boards mate, i got 33s on with no lift if thats why your fitting a 3inch body lift.
SASed Isuzu Mu - hilux diffs, Rears up front, disc brake conversion, ifs hub swap, crossover steering, and legal!!!!

There are lots of arguments for and against body lifts. I am all for body lifts if required (all my trucks have had/ do have them), but I would never put one in that is over 50mm (2").

yes my last hilux had 35s but there is a small problem with being able to afford 2500 worth of tyres haha that is something i will be doing, i quite like the runningboards i wont be taking them off until i build the side rails.

todays progress, welded up snorkel, cut hole in guard and removed lower front lip to fit a 10000lb tow hook aided by two 5mm steel support arms. heres the result :) getting there

Wouldn't this cause negitive pressure in diffs etc and help suck water past the seals :?

Looking good tho fella. I have a real soft spot for 1st gen Surfs :oops: :mrgreen:

um hasnt this guy been run outta ore due to being dodgy and bad trades and owing people money etc? :roll:
