Welcome to the club.

I had a V6 lwb, the old shape, before my swb and it was pretty good. Only mods were Goodyear MT/R 31x10.5s and a snorkel and had loads of fun in it. Sometimes the wheelbase was an advantage as it straddled stuff the swb would fall into othertimes it was a disadvantage as it got hung up going over sharp crests but a suspension and/or body lift would have helped that.
Cheers,
Greg.

My Dad has a LWB Pajero that constantly amazes me... its got a factory rear diff lock, but even without it he takes it some pretty gnarly places...

He's got a set of 33" Simex Jungle Trekker 2's which make a huge difference to the vehicles ability offroad, but a good set of 31 or 32" muddies will be a vast improvement over what they normally have fitted.

God for it... go out, have fun, take photos :)

Welcome aboard

Got the long wheel base one myself.
No mods done, running 31" Goodyear Wrangler AT/R tyres and i have not been stuck or disadvantaged. They are excellent machines.
